About the Kazakhstan’s mining industry:

Kazakhstan’s mining industry is currently valued at over US$3 billion and contributes nearly 30% of the country’s export earning and 19% of all production.

A number of deposits are being extracted in Kazakhstan including 29 non-ferrous metals, three ferrous metals, two precious metals and 84 industrial minerals. The country has an estimated 17 billion tonnes of iron ore deposits, the second largest reserves of manganese ore in the world at 600 million tonnes, and 45% of the former Soviet Union’s uranium reserves.

The mining industry in Kazakhstan continues to develop rapidly and mining companies are keen to increase their output by investing in new technologies. This, coupled with the huge reserves available in the country, is making it an extremely attractive prospect for investment.
