60% Growth for MiningWorld Central Asia & Kazcomak
MiningWorld Central Asia and Kazcomak are co-located events focusing on the mining and minerals industry and the construction industry respectively. The events took place on 19-21 September 2007 in the Atakent Exhibition Centre, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
MiningWorld Central Asia and Kazcomak covered 6,800 mÂ² – a 60% increase on the previous year. 185 companies took part in the exhibitions, representing 20 countries: Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, Switzerland and Ukraine. The events attracted 4,809 attendees.
Denmark presented a national group stand for the first time this year. Mr. Henrik Hanssen, Counselor of the Danish Export Association, explained that the rapid development of production in Kazakhstan has made this one of the areas in which Danish companies are looking to invest.
Senior Event Manager, Mr. Kamran Mehdiyev, is delighted by the growth in the exhibitions, â€œThese exhibitions represent two sectors of the Kazakhstan economy that have been showing enormous growth over the last few years. International companies have been keeping a keen eye on Kazakhstan and, for many, it has now become a priority for strategic growth. Denmark is one of the countries that has recognized the potential in Kazakhstan’s mining and construction markets and we look forward to welcoming them again next year, alongside other new countries.
MiningWorld Central Asia and Kazcomak are officially supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee for Geology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat (Administration) of Almaty, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan and diplomatic missions from participant countries.
The next editions of MiningWorld Central Asia and Kazcomak will take place on 17-19 September 2008 in the Atakent Exhibition Centre, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
MiningWorld Uzbekistan to join Central Asia Industrial Week
MiningWorld Uzbekistan took place on 6-8 November 2007 in Uzexpocentre, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In total, 26 companies took part in the exhibition, representing 9 countries. The event attracted 3,000 attendees.
MiningWorld Uzbekistan 2007 was officially supported by: the State Joint-Stock Company, Uzkimyosanoat, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Geology and Mineral Resources, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Mayor Office of Tashkent City.
The next edition of MiningWorld Uzbekistan will form part of the Central Asian Industrial Week, which comprises four exhibitions: Machinery Central Asia, ChemPlast Asia, PromUpak Uzbekistan and MiningWorld Central Asia. The events will take place on 2-4 October 2008 in Uzexpocentre, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
