The 6th International Industrial Forum GEOFORM 2009 will take place, supported by Ministry of Transportation and Ministry of Economical Development of Russian Federation.

Dragons Den, remake with Richard Farleigh for NGEF 2009

Dragons Den first transmitted on BBC Two in January 2005, and is a show focusing on entrepreneurs who pitch their own project to the Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

In series 3 & 4, in 2006 & 2007, Richard Farleigh became one of the famous Dragons. Two members of the NGEF team met Richard and he agreed to come and attend the Thursday morning session Pitching investors and Partners.

Four selected participants of the NGEF Business Plan competition will have the chance to have Richard Farleigh and 4 other panelists judge and give opinions on their pitches.

Jaspowa & Fischerei & Off-Road 2009 in Vienna: The perfect expo hunting ground in Austria

VIENNA The 2007 edition of the Jaspowa & Fishery & Off-Road underlined the status of the show as the leading event for the catchment areas of Vienna, Lower Austria, Styria, Burgenland and the entire neighbouring Danube region, emphasised Director Johann Jungreithmair, CEO of Reed Exhibitions Messe Wien. This hunting and angling show features an off-road drivers section and takes place once every two years. The next edition of the show is scheduled to take place on the 13th – 15th February 2009 at Messe Wien venue.

Yet again the Jaspowa & Fishery & Off-Road 2009 will be here with all the latest products and trends developed by the exhibiting companies, and another broad-based selection of side events for hunters, anglers and off-road vehicle enthusiasts. The Lower Austrian and Burgenland hunting associations will both be celebrating 60 years of existence at the Jaspowa in 2009.

Off-road test course

Off-road enthusiasts will also be able to enjoy the special cross country course set up between the halls to test 4×4 vehicles and quad bikes; as well as numerous competitions organized to test driving skills. All the big 4×4 manufacturers will be there to introduce their very latest models.

Three days packed with expo action

In response to exhibitor demand we decided to concentrate the Jaspowa & Fischerei & Off-Road 2009 over a three day period, instead of the original four, announced Gernot Blaikner, Head of Group Exhibitions for the organisers, Reed Exhibitions Messe Wien. Taking place once every two years, the Jaspowa & Fishery & Off-Road in Vienna has continuously grown over the past few years. The increased presence and interest from the neighbouring Danube Basin regions is a further reason for optimism. 12% of the visitors registered at the previous show came from outside Austria; the bulk of them from Hungary, followed by the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Jaspowa & Fishery & Off-Road 2007 was attended by a total of 18,374 visitors. Around 200 exhibitors occupied two halls and a large outdoor area at Messe Wien.

Salvo’s Advanced Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) Masterclass has been organized to provide the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) operating and engineering personnel with an understanding of current and typical operation, control, design, and troubleshooting of FCC Units during startup, normal operation, shutdown and emergencies. This will provide a detailed knowledge and understanding of the important parameters to achieve improved yield performance, increased equipment reliability, and reduced operating costs.

Participants will have an opportunity to obtain a broad working knowledge of FCC process and mechanical systems, to stay abreast of constantly changing procedures and technology, and to interact with others currently working in this field.

This course has been developed to meet the needs of unit operators as well as engineers associated with the FCC unit:

Learn about the operations, technology components, process and mechanical design

Be able to optimise, control and troubleshooting the FCC Unit

Learn how to increase equipment reliability and reduce operating costs

Discover a broad working knowledge of the FCCU process technology

Be able to operate start-up, shutdown and emergencies smoothly

Leading the workshop session is a professional engineer specialized in Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) technical service, engineering, operations, startup, trouble shooting and environmental functions for petroleum refineries worldwide. He has previously worked in technical service and process engineering design positions for both FCC Licensing companies and major operating companies. In his 30 years experience, he has provided on-site support for the commissioning of 17 grassroots units, 15 revamps and conducted numerous troubleshooting, engineering and technology evaluation efforts for most major FCC unit designs.
