The past 5 petrochemical programs has generate a complete success regarding the level of speakers, on-site atmosphere and feedback. Participants showed strong will to take part in our 6th Annual summit. Within this mind, organized by China Decision Makers Consultancy” the 6th Annual China Petrochemical Focus 2012 “will be held on April 19th -20th in Shanghai China.
As the global economic recovery, demand for petrochemicals started to rise, and the long-term demand outlook for petrochemical products seems positive, supported by rising consumption rates in emerging economies of Asia, primarily China and India. Asia especially China will remains at the centre of petrochemicals industry growth over the years. However, with the expanding of China’s internal capacity build-up, global rapid capacity expansion and fluctuating feedstock prices, whether China would absorb the additional output of major petrochemical producers is still unknown. Demand may being held back by uncertainty, continued sluggish industrial revival complicated by the wind down of stimulus programmes, volatile raw materials, excess capacities and trade protectionism.
With this in mind, the 6th Annual China Petrochemical Focus 2012(CPF2012) continue to be committed to address strategic issues, like alternative feedstock, regional trade deals, new projects and major products’ capacity and demand, which will determine your performance objectives in China and in the world.
Our vision for CPF2012 is to be the most compelling petrochemical event dedicated in China and Asia at large and serving as the dialogue platform between international players. We’re confident that the event will definitely yield win-win situation to assist industry players to gauge the pulse of this ever-changing industry, further identify the strategic role of Asia especially China in your global configuration.
Last Annual Stats: more than 300 distinguished guests and from them there are over 30 global powerful speakers in petrochemical industry. The 5th Annual Petrochemical Focus 2011 has also attracted more than 20 out of top 100 chemical companies and 10+ china leading petrochemical giants.

China, as the world’s biggest energy consumer, has an abundant of unconventional gas, such as shale gas which is exploitable reserves of 26 trillion cubic meters, as much as that found in the United States. There are abundant of unconventional gas resources in China but these resources need the opportunity to develop such as government encourage. In 2011, 12th Five-Year Plan, China’s government will build up flexible the political environment to attract more entrants to developing unconventional gas resource. Unconventional gas resource are expected to dedicate the future of energy sector across global, including China. Many international operators are attracted by the big potential market and get ready to explore China market.
China completed its first horizontal shale gas well, after 11 months of drilling, as the world’s biggest energy consumer seeks to tap its reserves of the cleaner-burning fuel.“Once we start large-scale production, shale gas won’t be an unconventional fuel for China anymore and it will play an important role to supply China’s energy needs,” Che Changbo, said, deputy director of the Ministry of Land and Resource’s oil and gas strategy center.
In Asia, Indonesia and India have the quite experience about unconventional gas exploration and production. The Indonesian government aims to increase oil production to one million bpd in the coming years by offering new exploration rights and encouraging enhanced production from existing wells. In addition to helping production companies, the Government initiatives saw the elimination of tariffs on importing equipment for offshore platforms and subsea exploration facilities. These policies are seen as key to encouraging suppliers of the advanced technologies that are required for the exploitation of ageing wells and enhancing production from marginal fields.
Within this context, the international providers of equipment dedicated to the industrial works in Indonesia’s oil sector must address a number of issues – stemming not only from the challenges of meeting the incremental oil demand, but also from important regulatory initiatives and the need to maintain experienced staff.
At the tank farms and refineries level, the security becomes an essential aspect and there are required solutions and specialized services in order to comply with international standards such as EU Directive 94/63/EC and German TA-Luft. Vapor Recovery Systems, for example, which are important units within the gasoline loading/unloading operations, have to be designed to meet all current and expected gasoline emission specifications.
“For complex installations and large quantities of Gasoline loading/unloading in tanks, tank trucks and railcars, as well as small applications, a turnkey solutions provider should perform expertise in loading/unloading facilities, feasibility studies, the detailed engineering for vapor recovery installations, delivery of the equipment, dedicated software, installations and commissioning.” says Ion Andronache, the CEO of the Romanian company Syscom18, one of the national leaders on the process control and automation market, company that provides integrated solutions and complex installations for the oil and gas industry. The vapor return process for gasoline supply requires the gases to be re-liquefied and thus, valuable product is recovered and the highest demands on air purity are met.
As Indonesia will be one of the main drivers for growth in the oil equipment market through the next years, more vapor recovery units are expected to be installed throughout the region.
