Agence Francaise de Development to grand funds to cut SA’s greenhouse gas emissions
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009The Agence Francaise de Developement Group (AFD) will grant €142 000 to the South African Energy Research Institute (Saneri) , a subsidiary of CEF (Pty) Ltd for its Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) Centre. This landmark technological measure will enable the country to reduce its carbon emissions significantly.
This very important announcement, as well as AFD’s financial role in promoting the fight against climate change in SA, will be revealed at a press conference. Visiting AFD CEO Jean-Michel Severino will sign the accession letter to the CCS charter. He and CEF CEO Mputumi Damane will also be available for press enquiries.
