The Second International Conference on the Inclusive Museum is to be held at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, 8-10 July 2009.

Main speakers include some of the leading thinkers in museum studies and leading practitioners, as well as numerous paper, colloquium and workshop presentations.

The Inclusive Museum Conference is a participants' Conference, including numerous parallel sessions. The Conference organising committee is inviting proposals to present 30-minute papers, 60-minute workshops or 90 minute colloquium sessions. These can be academic papers with a theory or research focus, or presentations of practice describing educational initiatives.

ECOSUD 2009 is the7th International Conference in the well-established series on Ecosystems and Sustainable Development. The meetings provide a unique forum for the presentation and discussion of recent work on different aspects of ecosystems and sustainable development, including physical sciences and modelling.

The aim of the Conference is to encourage and facilitate the interdisciplinary communication between scientists, engineers, economists and professionals working in ecological systems and sustainable development. Emphasis will be given to those areas that will most benefi t from the application of scientifi c methods for sustainable development, including the conservation of natural systems around the world. The Conference objectives have evolved over the years, seeking to integrate thermodynamics, ecology and economics into “ecodynamics”.

Introduction to General Convention

With few precedents for a republican form of church governance the first General Convention met in 1785 in Philadelphia. That convention began work on a constitution and a revision of the Book of Common Prayer, the church’s book of worship. Within ten years the General Convention had agreed on its form of governance and its pattern of worship, both of which endure to the present day.
