Learning 2009: The 16th Internaional Conference on Learning

The International Conference on Learning is for any person with an interest in, and concern for, education at any of its level - from early childhood, to schools, to higher education - and lifelong learning in any of its sites, from home to school to university to the workplace.

It will address a range of critically important themes relating to education today. Main speakers will include some of the world's leading thinkers in the field of education, as well as numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by researchers and practitioners.

Participants are also welcome to submit a presentation proposal either for a 30-minute paper, 60-minute workshop, a jointly presented 90-minute colloquium session. Parallel sessions are loosely grouped into streams reflecting different perspectives or disciplines. Each stream also has its own talking circle, a forum for focused discussion of issues. For those unable to attend the Conference in person, virtual participation is also available.

SAFE 2009: Third International Conference on Safety and Security Engineering 2009

The success of the first two International Conferences on Safety and Security Engineering held in Rome in 2005, and Malta in 2007, has prompted the organisers to reconvene the meeting in 2009. The purpose of the Conference is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the most recent developments in the theoretical and practical aspects of Safety and Security Engineering.

The meeting aims to attract papers in all related fields, in addition to those listed under the Conference Topics, as well as case studies describing practical experiences. The study of multifactor risk impact will be given special emphasis. Due to the multitude and variety of topics included, the list is only indicative of the themes of the expected papers. Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts in all areas of Safety and Security, with particular attention to integrated and interdisciplinary aspects.

World Congress on Engineering 2009 (WCE)

The WCE 2009 is organized by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), a non-profit international association for the engineers and the computer scientists. The conference has the focus on the frontier topics in the theoretical and applied engineering and computer science subjects. The WCE conferences serve as good platforms for our members and the entire engineering community to meet with each other and to exchange ideas. Our congress committees have been formed with over three hundred committees members who are mainly research center heads, faculty deans, department heads, professors, and research scientists from over 20 countries.
