8th International Congress of Turkish-German Gynecological Association
Apr 29, 2009 - May 3, 2009,
Sungate Port Royal Resort, Kemer, Antalya Turkey

The Turkish - German Gynecology Congress is held under the umbrella of the Turkish - German Gynecology Association. First held in 1995, the Congress has broadened its scientific quality and drawn increasing numbers of participants yearly to become one of our country's major scientific events in this field.

Our Congress, which has scored a number of "firsts," is held biannually. The steadily increasing interest of the gynecological medicine and obstetrics community in our congress is a source of great pride to us. Through the great interest shown by doctors, our last (7th) congress, which we held in Antalya, had an attendance of 2300. 550 papers from 16 countries were sent to the congress, held in simultaneous sessions in four different halls. The fact that the halls were packed even for the last sessions was the greatest proof of the quality of the scientific program.

We will hold our eighth Congress within the body of TAJEV (Turkish - German Gynecology Education, and Research Foundation) from April 29 to May 3 , at the Sungate Port Royal Resort in Kemer, Antalya. A rich scientific content has already been prepared, and several leading scholars in their areas have been invited and agreed to attend. Round table discussions, expert consulting seminars and satellite symposia have been planned. The Congress will be supported by pre-event courses and hands-on training sessions and scientific material. The 2009 Congress will also include awards to increase the interest of young researchers and encourage scholarly activities.
