Carbon Capture and Storage is the most exciting proposition for reducing emissions and tackling climate change across a broad range of industries. Institute members throughout the world are working on challenging R&D projects to bring the technology into commercial reality. In order for the technology to develop engineers need to take the lead in ensuring the public accept this emerging technology by addressing key issues with carbon dioxide capture, transmission and sub surface sequestration.

The aim of this seminar is to explore the technologies available to design power plants for carbon capture, the technologies for the capture process itself and the provisions will allow carbon capture to be installed at a later date, transportation options for carbon dioxide and the technology and options for storage of carbon dioxide.

This is important from a business perspective since each service can be implemented using any technology, independently of the others. What matters is that everybody agrees on the integration technology, and there is a consensus about this in today’s middleware market: customers want to use Web technologies. Despite these promises, however, service integrators, developers, and providers need to create methods tools and techniques to support cost-effective development and the use of dependable services and service-oriented applications.
