-
Oct 27, 2008 - Oct 29, 2008,
Cairo International Conference Centre Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt* The petroleum sector plays an important role in Egypt's economy. The introduction of Egypt's natural gas for export via pipelines and LNG (IDKU & DIMETTA) has added an extra push to Egypt's export revenue.
* The proven natural gas reserves increased to reach 67 TCF (April 2006) while the probable reserves are believed to be 120 TCF or more. Most of this increase has come about as a result of new natural gas discoveries in the offshore & onshore Nile delta and western desert.
* Nile delta has emerged as a world-class natural gas basin, its considered the second delta world wide from its hydrocarbon potentiality.
* Natural gas production is about 3.5 bcfpd and expected to rise to be around 5 bcfpd by year 2007 with much being exported as LNG.
* The two LNG plants were brought on lines in 2005 making ELNG the fastest LNG project world wide.
* The other alternative for export natural gas is Arab pipeline which started his first phase to Jordan and planning to reach Syria &Turkey & Roman in Europe. - full details

Funds of funds generally allocate capital to 15-30 hedge funds to achieve efficient risk diversification. Nevertheless a smaller number of funds may be used to concentrate capital on a particular strategy. Such funds of hedge funds aim to post high returns and are more concerned by manager and event risks. Conversely, a larger number of funds may be used to control for extreme risks. Most funds of funds invest in portfolios diversified by manager and strategy which enable them to produce consistent absolute returns with low levels of risk. - full details

- CMOS Process Integration
-
Oct 27, 2008 - Oct 28, 2008,
Doubletree Hotel, San Jose, California United StatesSemiconductor and integrated circuit developments continue to proceed at an incredible pace. For example, today’s microprocessor chips have one thousand times the processing power of those a decade ago. These challenges have been accomplished because of the integrated circuit industry’s ability to track something known as Moore’s Law. Moore’s Law states that an integrated circuit’s processing power will double every two years. This has been accomplished by making devices smaller and smaller. The question looming in everyone’s mind is “How far into the future can this continue?” CMOS Process Integration is a 2 day course that offers detailed instruction on the physics behind the operation of a modern integrated circuit, and the processing technologies required to make them. We place special emphasis on current issues related to designing and manufacturing the next generation devices. This course is a must for every manager, engineer and technician working in the semiconductor industry, using semiconductor components or supplying tools to the industry.
By focusing on the fundamentals of transistor operation and interconnect performance, participants will learn why advances in the industry are occurring along certain lines and not others. Our instructors work hard to explain how semiconductor devices work without delving heavily into the complex physics and mathematical expressions that normally accompany this discipline. - full details
