* The petroleum sector plays an important role in Egypt's economy. The introduction of Egypt's natural gas for export via pipelines and LNG (IDKU & DIMETTA) has added an extra push to Egypt's export revenue.

* The proven natural gas reserves increased to reach 67 TCF (April 2006) while the probable reserves are believed to be 120 TCF or more. Most of this increase has come about as a result of new natural gas discoveries in the offshore & onshore Nile delta and western desert.

* Nile delta has emerged as a world-class natural gas basin, it�s considered the second delta �world wide from its hydrocarbon potentiality�.

* Natural gas production is about 3.5 bcfpd and expected to rise to be around 5 bcfpd by year 2007 with much being exported as LNG.

* The two LNG plants were brought on lines in 2005 making ELNG the fastest LNG project world wide.

* The other alternative for export natural gas is Arab pipeline which started his first phase to Jordan and planning to reach Syria &Turkey & Roman in Europe.

Funds of funds are portfolios of hedge funds offering investors exposure to a wide range of alternative investment styles and strategies. Funds of funds generally allocate capital to 15-30 hedge funds to achieve efficient risk diversification.
