The theme of the conference is appropriate bearing in mind South Africa’s constitution is relatively new and we are a young democracy. The proposed programme will encourage thought-provoking and intense discussions by many acclaimed speakers.
Cape Town certainly has a lot to offer after hours and on sight-seeing outings. A trip to Robben Island will reveal much about our recent political history. The island was a political prison under apartheid - it is where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for nearly twenty years - and is a symbol of our struggle for freedom and democracy. Robben Island was recognized as a World Heritage site during 1999. - full details
