Palexpo Conference Center, Geneva Switzerland

FENS and the local host society of Switzerland are actively engaged in the preparation of the 6th FENS Forum of European Neuroscience to be held in Geneva on July 12- 16, 2008. A new Programme Committee will be appointed during the FENS Council meeting in December 2006.
The scientific programme will consist of plenary lectures, symposia, technical workshops and poster presentations. The symposia and technical workshops will be selected on the basis of proposals made by individual scientists.

SYMPOSIUM AND TECHNICAL WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

Symposia
They will last 1 hour 30 minutes with 4 speakers and must address scientific issues around a coherent theme of interest to a broad audience (see guidelines).

Technical workshops
They are meant to discuss technical advances in various fields of research, with the emphasis on techniques, not on scientific results. They may last around 3 hours and include up to 6 speakers (see guidelines).

Proposals will be submitted through the Internet. They must be original, reflecting the latest developments of research in the field of interest. At the same time, each proposal should represent different aspects of its scientific topic and take into account the geographical diversity of the laboratories engaged in the particular research.

NACUBO 2008 Annual Meeting - National Association of Colleges and University Business Officers
Jul 12, 2008 - Jul 15, 2008,
Hilton Hotel, Chicago, Illinois United States

Chicago embodies the history of architecture. The skyscraper was born here, and each new approach to materials, design, function, and use of space is captured in its skyline. The angles, points of view, and experiments tried here have influenced the practice of architecture for almost two centuries. At the NACUBO 2008 Annual Meeting in Chicago, we want to use the inspiration of this cutting edge city to explore new initiatives, new points of view, and new approaches to old problems.

Changing perspective often means looking at the world or a set of assumptions in a different way. A simple adjustment in perspective can open up a whole new world of possible approaches to begin a new project or to solve an old problem. When you consider only one point of view or limit yourself to one course of action, you rule out a vast number of potential tactics and methods.

3rd International Conference on the Teaching of Psychology
Jul 12, 2008 - Jul 16, 2008,
St. Petersburg Hotel, St. Petersburg, Leningradskaya oblast Russia

Abstracts are being accepted for the Third International Conference on the Teaching of Psychology (ICTP-2008) to be held July 12-16, 2008, in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Format of Submissions

Submissions can be made in one or more of the following categories: (1) oral paper presentation, (2) symposium, (3) poster, or (4) participant idea exchange. Papers may be submitted as individual presentations or as part of a symposium.

Symposia include thematically related presentations and discussants. A symposium is scheduled to last 1 hour 50 minutes. Conveners decide on symposium’s structure and the number of presenters. We encourage symposia that include participants from more than one country in order to maximize interaction of participants from different parts of the world.

Papers and posters. Those who wish to submit an individual paper may choose between an oral presentation and poster. The total time slot for an individual presentation is 20 minutes. Both oral presentations and posters submitted individually will be grouped by category topic into thematic sessions. The only distinction between an oral presentation and a poster is only the mode of presentation mode.

Participant idea exchange sessions are round table discussions led by the participants who proposed the topic. The leader begins the session with a short presentation that is followed by a group discussion.
