Hostex Cape 2008

The South African tourism and hospitality industries are booming – on both domestic and international levels. Our hospitality industry knows that it needs to prepare itself so that it can be ready and waiting, and Hostex 2008 aims to enable industry members to do just this.

With 250 exhibitors covering 10 000m² in floor space, the 2008 show takes place at the Cape Town Convention Centre

The SA Chefs Association will be heavily involved once again demonstrating their culinary skills and cooking talents, and Home Grown will also form part of Hostex 2008, as will 2005’s new addition, Guestex – a section dedicated exclusively to suppliers to the smaller guesthouse and B&B sector (the fastest-growing sector in SA’s tourism industry).

6th Language Resources and Evaluation Conference

LREC targets the integration of different types of LRs – spoken, written, and other modalities – and of the respective communities. To this end, LREC encourages submissions covering issues which are common to different types of LRs and language technologies.
LRs are currently developed and deployed in a much wider range of applications and domains.
LREC 2008 recognises the need to encompass all those data that interact with language resources in an attempt to model more complex human processes and develop more complex systems, and encourages submissions on topics such as: (1) Multimodal and multimedia systems, for Human-Machine interfaces, Human-Human interactions, and content processing
(2)Resources for modelling language-related cognitive processes, including emotions. (3)Interaction/Association of language and perception data, also for robotic systems

34th Graphics Interface Conference (GI 2008)
