Strategic Website Management
Apr 2, 2008 - Apr 4, 2008,

It is therefore imperative that your website not only accurately communicate your organisation’s objectives and purpose, but also meet the needs of users in terms of being accessible, usable, and generally effective.

Organisations are usually aware of the impetus to meet these needs, but without an overarching strategy in place, tasks can become ad hoc and key elements can be neglected. Professionals managing websites need to therefore consider how they will address the broader challenges of planning, managing expectations, gaining senior level and organisational buy-in, before progressing onto the finer details of usability, accessibility, and managing content on an ongoing basis.
