Orbital 2008
Mar 21, 2008 - Mar 24, 2008,
Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Heathrow Airport London, England United Kingdom

Our theme is orbits, so we'll be having lots of programme items to encourage this.

Our style is lots of programme streams and more interactive discussions than Eastercons normally run to. We'll still have the traditional talks and panels, but will also include many discussion items where the audience will be encouraged - nay, expected - to contribute to the discussion.

We'll also be covering the various subsets of fandom: books, television, movies, comics, writing, costuming, filking, and so on. We have an inclusive approach to programming.

And yes, we do plan to have a Masquerade. In fact, we plan to have a Masquerade and a Cabaret. The Cabaret will be a showcase for any fannish skills such as belly dancing, comedy sketches, filk songs, musicians, etc. The wider the range, the better (Acts should be no more than three minutes without prior agreement from Programme staff).

11th Kenya International Trade Exhibition
Mar 21, 2008 - Mar 23, 2008,
SEC Nairobi Kenya

The 11th Kenya International Trade Exhibition to be held in March 2008 is all set to present over 10,000 products, equipment and machinery from over 30 countries.

The number of exhibitors and visitors in 2008 is expected to rise by at least 25% since an agressive campaign has been launched while celebrating the event's 11th birthday.

Trade visitors from all over East & Central African countries are being invited dirtectly and in collaboration with several regional trade bodies in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Mozambique & Zaire.

Though Kenya by itself is one of the biggest markets in Africa, major emphasis is being laid upon attracting traders and importers from neighbouring countries.

The experience & comments of exhibitors at previous events indicate substantial gains from unexpected foreign visitors and we strongly feel that a rise in such statistics would ensure business specially for the foreign participants who form almost 80 - 85% of the exhibition.
