Saltwater Fishing Expo

International Society for Affective Disorders 4th Biennial Conference

The primary aim of ISAD’s conferences is to promote research into the affective disorders through all relevant scientific disciplines, including neuroscience, psychopharmacology, genetics and the social and behavioural sciences. Inter-disciplinary research approaches are particularly highly valued by the Society.
ISAD also aims to promote networking, exchange of ideas and experiences, and advance awareness of the consequence of mental health to global health and human development. ISAD has a reputation for providing high level, well-balanced scientific programmes. The format of this 4th biennial conference is a series of parallel symposia held over 3 days with a keynote plenary lecture on each day.

The conference programme includes a strong emphasis on free oral communications and posters for which contributions are invited on the following themes:

Causation of affective disorders.
Primary and secondary prevention of affective disorders.

Tarde/Durkheim: Trajectories of the social aims to bring together major actors in the recent rediscovery of Tarde with participants from a range of disciplines including anthropology, sociology, STS and philosophy who acknowledge a continuing or productively re-imagined debt to Durkheim. Participants will investigate the way these rival 19th century projects for the social sciences were formed and what remains of the ways each thinker proposed to define 'the social' and partition it across one or many 'disciplines'. They will ask what light this century-old debate between the two sociologists might shed on the very different (and yet sometimes uncannily parallel) concerns facing the arts, humanities and social sciences, at the beginning of the 21st century, such as inter-disciplinarity, the 'ontological turn', empiricism, affect and scale.

FX Networks is an ISP and intercity network data provider, which is a one stop shop for bandwidth, fibre, DNS, Mail, Web, VX national VOIP exchange, and other services.

It owns and operates a fibre optic backbone network throughout the North Island, with points of presence at major cities in the South Island (via partners). The fibre network connects Wellington (Citylink and Vector), Palmerston North (Inspire) Hamilton (LiteUp) and Auckland (Citylink and Vector). Initial network capacity is 20 Gbps, and is expected to grow to 100-300 Gbps within two years.
