Organisation Development, A programme on Managing Change
Feb 12, 2008 - Feb 14, 2008,
TARAgram, Appropriate Technology Centre Madhya Pradesh India

We are passing through an era which is unparallel in the history of mankind. Never before have a billion dreams been charged with excitement for change. People whether in rural or urban area are witnessing changes in their lives. For the poor and those who do not have voice, the civil society has taken the mandate upon itself to ensure that they are not left out in this process of change. But is the sector prepared to address the issues that this change is likely to bring about? Newer challenges require newer approaches and perhaps innovative approach to problem solving. Some of the challenges that we in the sector face relate to fundamental questions such as vision and mission, our identity and human resources.

Organizational Development (OD) is all about managing change. We have designed this programme with a view to address crucial issues that confront most of the social entrepreneurs and change leaders. How do we know if our organization is equipped to take on the outside world; for if we are not, then the poor have missed yet another bus in their long struggle for better lives?

Objective

The training programme will be conducted to meet the following objectives:

- To identify the need for instituting Organization Development processes within their organizations,

- To conduct a self reflection on organization preparedness to initiate change management processes
