GoingToMeet

The 2008 Host-parasite Interactions GRC conference will focus on the latest findings on the biology of protozoan parasites and their vectors, with special emphasis on human and animal diseases such as (but not limited to) malaria, toxoplasmosis, African and American trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, trichomoniasis, giardiasis and entamoebiasis. The aim of the meeting is to bring together scientists from a variety of disciplines in order to define the current state of this dynamic field and to discuss and set future research agendas. GRCs offer the unique opportunity to get together senior and junior investigators to present their latest findings in a friendly and open atmosphere. The success of this meeting would be considerably strengthened by the participation of students and post-docts who are strongly encouraged to apply. We are making a special effort to obtain funds to provide individuals from endemic countries with travel awards.
