XII International Conference on Quantum Optics and Quantum Information organized by Lithuanian Physical Society, Belarussian Physical Society, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be held on September 20-23, 2008, in the conference center of the "Reval Hotel Lietuva" located in the city of Vilnius. General idea of the conference is to bring together scientists and engineers from different fields (optics, atomic and molecular physics, solid state physics, computer science) which actively contribute to the field of Quantum Optics and Quantum information. The traditional style for this Conference is the oral presentations followed by rather informal discussions. This International Conference will be the next one of a series of very successful meetings that were held in Minsk during the last 20 years. If you have joint projects with quantum optics and quantum information scientists in the FSU or plan to start such an activity, it is a good chance to choose this event for your local meeting with colleagues.
