SPE Middle East Health, Safety, Security & Environment Conference and Exhibition 2008

"Strengthening Sustainable Practices and Regulations"

Oct 20, 2008 - Oct 22, 2008
Four Seasons Hotel Doha, Qatar

Highlights

The fourth SPE Middle East Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Conference and Exhibition (MEHSSE) will take place 20–22 October 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Qatar under the patronage of H.E. Abdulla Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry. The event theme is "Strengthening Sustainable Practices and Regulations". It will bring together experts and key executives from the oil and gas industry to discuss the current issues related to HSSE and corporate social responsibility.

With the increase in demand for energy, there has been a corresponding increase in the number of HSSE requirements addressing social responsibility and environmentally friendly procedures. These higher standards can pose challenges for companies operating in the oil and gas industry.

The Middle East is an area where HSSE information is in high demand due to the various projects currently underway there. Therefore, this event will present a great learning opportunity for human resources managers, drilling HSE professionals, environmental engineers, safety engineers, and other industry professionals working in the region.
