As ever at OR Society conferences there is a full social programme to entertain delegates and facilitate networking.

A welcome drinks reception will be held for early arrivals on Monday evening, and an OR Society conference wouldn’t be the same without the traditional Bar Quiz on Tuesday evening.

In the latter part of Wednesday afternoon delegates will have an opportunity to see something of York, going on a guided walking tour of the city or a vintage open top bus tour. Alternatively you may visit the York Brewery or the Yorkshire Air Museum or perhaps get face-to-face with Vikings at the Jorvik Viking Centre.

The conference banquet on the Wednesday evening will take place at the National Railway Museum in York, where following a drinks reception and a trip on the Yorkshire Wheel delegates will have the opportunity to explore the exhibits, which comprises the world’s largest collection of historic railway vehicles.
