Now in its 15th year, the Higher Education Government Relations Conference (formerly known as the State Relations Conference) is an educational forum for professionals whose responsibility is to foster governmental and community relations on behalf of public colleges and universities, state systems and other organizations involved in advancing higher education.

Conference objectives include:

• providing a forum in which state and national experts share perspectives and discuss trends and issues that affect public higher education, particularly with regard to government and external relations, and sound public policy development;

• sharing institutional best practices that serve to build relationships with policy makers, the public and media, as well as other tools that advance governmental affairs agendas; and

• serving as a venue in which attendees can network with a diversity of higher education stakeholders.
