Janet Allen is a renowned international, literacy consultant and author of numerous literacy works including: Words, Words, Words; Reading History; The Scholastic Read Aloud Anthology and It’s Never Too Late, Dr. Allen currently serves as Senior Program Consultant for McDougal Littell’s 2008 Literature Program (grades 6-12).

Janice F. Almasi, Ph.D. is a former elementary school teacher and reading specialist. She is currently the Carol Lee Robertson Endowed Professor of Literacy Education at the University of Kentucky , where she teaches courses in reading theory, methods, and research methodology. She earned her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland and was also a postdoctoral fellow at the Learning Research and Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh . She will present on “Teaching children to read and comprehend informational texts and comprehension strategies”.

Marie Bradby is the author of many books for Children and Young Adults among them: More Than Anything Else.
