67th Harden - Decoding the biology of heparan sulphate proteoglycans

Mar 29, 2009 - Apr 02, 2009
Robinson College Cambridge, England, United Kingdom

Highlights

Heparan sulphate proteoglycans (HSPGs) have emerged as a novel and exciting class of molecules with a huge variety of critical functions in cell signalling and development, often encompassed by the concept that they act as “molecular matchmakers”, regulating the functional assembly of multi-protein complexes. Our developing understanding of the structure and functions of HSPGs is having significant impact in a diverse range of fields including cell biology, development and disease pathology, and will be of interest to a broad range of participants. This timely Harden conference will bring together key scientists at the forefront of HSPG research on a wide range of topics, to present and discuss recent research advances and also highlight future trends and opportunities for biomedical exploitation.
