Highlights: Former BP chief executive Lord Browne tops the bill for a revamped opening ceremony. He will be interviewed on a one-to-one basis by renowned journalist Todd Benjamin, CNN’s International’s financial editor, on issues relating to the main theme of the programme – energy for one world.

Topics include access to energy resources, climate challenges, tomorrow’s energy companies and the role of liquefied natural gas in the energy picture.

The final day of the conference takes the form of a Young People’s Energy Forum, which aims to boost interest in the oil industry among college-age Norwegians.
