2nd Annual Conference on Electronic Laboratory Notebooks

Jan 28, 2009 - Jan 29, 2009
Copthorne Tara Hotel, London, England, United Kingdom

Highlights

Nowadays, the traditional paper and pen systems for logging data are being replaced by ELNs, saving researchers’ time and increase their efficiency. ELNs can understand data, gather it and store it on a host server facilitating effective knowledge sharing within an organisation. They have been successfully used by computational chemists, but now biologists are adapting to using them as well. However, their needs are very different to those of chemists and new programmes need to be developed to manage this change. This transition also calls into question compliance, regulations and an understanding of how these systems can be integrated with others.

SMi’s 2nd annual conference on Electronic Laboratory Notebooks brings together some of the most qualified speakers in the industry, giving their experiences on their own implementation of ELNs. You will also hear about the latest advances in this area and the future of ELNs. This is a must attend event for all those that already work with ELNs and everyone that is looking to implement them.
