Oct 11, 2008 - Oct 11, 2008
Choa Chu Kang Polyclinic ,Primary Care Academy Learning Centre Singapore Singapore

Highlights

Primary care physicians are increasing called upon to treat and manage many common respiratory conditions, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In the past, spirometry or lung function testing was mainly performed in the specialist/ hospital setting. In recent years, there has been a move to performing simple “Office spirometry” within the general practice setting. Hence, several family physicians might encounter opportunities to perform, read and interpret pulmonary lung function tests. This course aims to give a brief introduction into the how, what and why of lung function tests.
