The International Conference on Technology in the Footwear Industry (CALZATECNIA) is an annual event organized by CIATEC, A.C. The objective of this conference is to spread knowledge of the latest generation technologies in the manufacturing of footwear, by means of discussions, workshops, meetings and presentation of relevant works. CALZATECNIA is an event open to all businesses involved in footwear and leather. In each CALZATECNIA Conference there are approximately 18 presenters –Mexicans and foreigners-- who discuss their work.

Those who have attended the conference in the past have reported that the conference provides a great opportunity to share knowledge and to compare and assimilate information about innovations. Some businesses and manufacturers, as well as suppliers and educational institutions have opened new lines of communication in the application of technical knowledge. They have formed strategic alliances in order to connect business channels and networks among suppliers during the CALZATECNIA conference. This conference represents a unique opportunity to find out about the latest technological advances and up to date knowledge of opportunities in the market. This year the 30th Annual CALZATECNIA Conference will be held on August 22-23 in the city of Leon, Guanajuato Mexico.
