Although fixed and mobile number portability has been fully implemented in most Western European countries for some time, by contrast a number of Eastern European countries, parts of the Middle East, Asia, South America and Africa are currently in the process of planning or implementation.

This conference will allow both those who are still implementing NP to hear best practice experiences of successful implementation, together with pitfalls to avoid and winning strategies to emulate. Operators and regulators from countries with well established NP can learn how they too can refine existing systems and ensure they meet the porting challenges presented by NGN networks and the move towards central reference databases.

This is the only conference in Europe specialising in meeting the unique challenges of Number Portability. Key points will be illustrated by relevant case studies from those countries that have recently implemented, such as Israel, and from those currently implementing such as Serbia, as well as expert presentations from operators and regulators throughout the world.
