Highlights: The sixth international conference devoted to rubber chemicals, compounding and mixing is coming to Prague in December.

The rubber industry continues to face the ongoing challenges of cost-down pressures from the automotive industry, low-price competition from suppliers in China and Eastern Europe and an array of environmental issues.

In particular the REACH regulations governing European chemical imports are forcing producers of rubber processing chemicals to reformulate and develop less hazardous products whilst the ever increasing application demand for higher performance and superior durability of rubber articles is driving continuous technical development in the use of chemicals in rubber compounds.
