The Thai Pediatric Nephrology Association would like to express our extremely sincere thanks to the members of The Asian Society of Pediatric Nephrology who support us the host for the 10th Asian Congress of Pediatric Nephrology in Bangkok between 28-30 August 2008.
We would like to focus our Congress towards the theme “Innovation in Prevention and Therapeutic Strategies” This would encourage in particular the effective solution to the present therapeutic failure in preventing the renal disease progression. In essence, the failure in early screening of disease severity by the present diagnostic approach and the present inappropriate therapeutic strategies which simply slow the renal disease progression but is unable to restore the renal function. Such issue is indeed linking to the crucial concept of the mechanism of renal disease progression which would encourage for active participation and eventually lead towards the effective therapeutic strategies.
Hopefully, the fruitful outcome of this Congress will be achieved with better way of early renal protection and effective restoration of renal function which eventually decline in the number of patients entering end-stage-renal disease. We hope that you will gain a highly rewarding experience and look forward to welcome you in 2008 in Bangkok.
