Highlights

Early and amicable resolution of disputes arising from accidents saves both time and money and also avoids the destructive impact of litigation, enforcement or even prosecution.

Day 1 will provide training on the key skills of how to effectively mediate. This may include agreeing to update and improve future risk assessments. This will cover:
• How to mediate and agreement
• Identifying clear objectives, strategy and style
• Defusing a situation and handling conflict
• Remaining impartial

Day 2 of the course will enable delegates to negotiate effectively and understand the principles behind successful negotiation. This will include:
- Preparing for a negotiation by considering the relevant law, issues, facts and evidence
- Identifying clear objectives, strategy and style
- Understanding and applying concessions
- Opening bids and resistance points
- Listening and Questioning
