Recent demands in the work environment, changes in lifestyles, challenges in socio-economic and political agenda, issues in cultural integration, planned revamps in educational systems, corporate restructuring, and business and management re-engineering, to name a few, are exerting socio-cultural pressures on the roles of communication and media in handling these types of scenario.

How can communication and media theories, philosophies, and principles offer comprehensive explanations and strategies on how to deal with the ever changing management, work, and career environments? What mechanisms can be put into action by practitioners, academicians, and researchers, and scholars as a response to the seemingly complicated and challenging ambits of communication and media studies? How can communication and media experts play significant and multi-faceted roles in decision-making, policy-making, information dissemination, and information literacy?
