During the first Summer Institute in Cognitive Science held at UQAM, more than 150 participants from Canada and around the world were brought together to discuss the topic of categorization.

Inspired by this success, and in line with its teaching and research objectives, the Cognitive Science Institute will be holding its second Summer Institute from June 28th to July 8th, 2008.

The topic will be social cognition, to be understood in its psychological and community aspects. It will bring together at UQAM researchers with international recognition. The Institute aims at learning and sharing ideas as well as promoting networking for future research and cooperation.

Located in the heart of Montreal, the Summer Institute venue provides a multicultural context rich with its old world charm, in a thoroughly modern setting.
