With the anticipated conclusion of the consultation process into the role of nuclear power as part of the future UK electricity generating mix, it is appropriate to review some of the key steps necessary to take the concept of new nuclear generation from consultation to delivery. To address this the IMechE, the INucE, the IET and the BNES have combined to present a conference to address the key issues of planning and siting, licensing, economics and funding, resourcing and skills, supply chain and UK delivery, public acceptability and fuel cycle/waste management. Senior speakers from across the industry will present over two days at the IET in London on the 28th and 29th April 2008.
