In today's vehicle market it is mandatory to provide both low fuel consumption and low-emission products at lowest costs. The challenge to NVH engineers is to design vehicles with brand specific characteristics. We need the experimental and simulation tools to meet proposed targets. The design cycle demands consideration of novel materials and arrangements in the vehicle. By facing these challenges, we augment our engineering knowledge and increase capabilities.

For these needs, the biennial International Styrian Noise, Vibration & Harshness Congress in Graz, Austria, provides an ideal platform to discuss new ideas, insights and technologies as well as for networking. The congress is organized in cooperation with the Society of Automotive Engineering International (SAE) and has become a well established event in the automotive acoustic world.
