For human beings, solar energy will be the most ideal, the safest and the superlatively suitable substitution energy in the future. The advent of the new material and new technology will raise the applied efficiency of solar energy, extend its applied field and lower its applied cost. The human life style will be definitely changed and the human traditional fire age will definitely end by using solar energy extensively.

In order to strengthen the international cooperation, lead the development of this industry, integrate the industrial resources, build a business platform for the application of solar and PV facing the world, promote the urban sustainable energy projects, develop CDM(Clean Development Mechanism) and further improve solar technology in China, based on the successful “SNEC International Solar and PV Conference & CGSEE (2007) Sino-German International Solar Energy and PV Projects (Shanghai) Exhibition” jointly organized by Shanghai Energy Resources and Chemical Industry Association (SERCIA), Shanghai Science Technology Development & Exchange Center (STDEC) and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Technische Zusammenarbeit(GTZ) GmbH, we decided to hold “SNEC 2nd (2008) International Solar and PV Conference & Chinese-European International Solar and PV (Shanghai) Exhibition” during May 9 to May 12, 2008 in Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center International Hotel and Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center.
