GeoDrilling Programme
GeoDrilling ConferenceAlongside the exhibition, GeoDrilling 2008’s conference programme, set over two days, will tackle key industry issues. Attendance at these sessions will count towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for all the major professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Building, Institution of Civil Engineers and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. They will update delegates on what’s what, what’s new and who’s who in the drilling industry.

The intended coverage of the conference programme will include:

Ground investigation.
We will consider innovative environmental site investigation and look at managing change from a developer’s perspective, including the impact of the European directives and regeneration of contaminated sites. The impact of European geotechnical standards will be explained. The pivotal role played by regulation and legislation in improving standards and creating opportunities in the ground engineering industry looks set to become a theme of the conference programme at GeoDrilling 2008. Other seminars will examine the latest thinking in desk studies, an essential part of risk management.
