The AAAL 2008 Annual Conference will be held in Washington, DC at the Omni Shoreham Hotel from Saturday, March 29 to Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Nationally and internationally, the annual AAAL conference has a reputation as one of the most comprehensive and exciting language conferences. At AAAL new ideas are generated, disciplinary boundaries are crossed and research is shared across a wide range of applied linguistic domains of inquiry. This includes language policy, second language acquisition, discourse analysis, reading, writing and literacy, language and ideology, language pedagogy and many others.
