The ESSO committee is determined to ensure that surgical oncology is recognised as the important specialty it is. We hope to encourage organ based societies to join in our meetings and contribute to the improvement of cancer care for all our patients throughout Europe. The Dutch Surgical Society (NVCO) and the British Association of Surgical Oncology (BASO) will be closely involved in the organisation of the meeting.
