Today’s militaries often find themselves working closely together in a Joint Operational Environment. When they do, a host of compatibility issues arise that would not necessarily be the case if one nation fought alone. Recognising this in a multi-national and multi service environment is becoming critically important as operations in Afghanistan have clearly demonstrated.
