Science is a part and parcel of the Islamic civilization. Islamic science is an outcome of the Islamic science is an outcome of the Islamic philosophy and thought. Although there are many similarities between Islamic science and modern science, they were mould differently and thus the paradigm is divergent. The impact of the western secular science obviously resulting too many disasters to the world. Science nowadays is no longer focusing on how to form and bring harmony and advantages for humanity, but more and more violation and abuses of human rights. On the other hand, Islamic science with its holistic approach able to act in unison with harmony and thus, a measure of rahmatan lil alamin will be achieved. Parallel to the national aim towards a developed country by 2020 and the appliance of 1 Malaysia, focus on the future of Islamic science through innovation and creativity. The contribution of Islamic science in all subjects showed the world how knowledge, science and technology supported by tauhid will always guide towards peace, tolerance, and good relationship among humanity. Therefore, all big contributions of Muslims should be appreciated through research and new invention. Thus, the organization of this seminar will emphasize on various aspects of Islamic science and technology with the hope to revive the supremacy of Islamic Civilization.
Objectives- •To determine the important aspects of Islamic science and technology is expanded.
- •To provide a platform for intellectuals discussion and encounter the contemporary issues related to science and technology.
- •To analyze the ambition of the Islamic science and technology in education and research.
- •To compile the documents concerning the achievement and the contribution of Islamic science and technology particularly to the Muslim world.
- •To expand the network and academic circle among scholars and experts in the Islamic science and technology.
- •To develop new area of research in fiqh science and technology.
Target Participants
The target participants consist of academicians, scientists, representatives of the government and private sectors as well as the related NGOs, researchers and students. The expected numbers of participants is 300.
