Highlights
The management of heart failure and arrhythmias continues to evolve at a rapid rate. Medical therapy continues to progress and device therapy is reducing mortality and improving quality of life, even permitting in-home monitoring of patients. Moreover catheter procedures that now have the potential to cure atrial fibrillation have now become routine. Finally new gene technology is offering new insights into the mechanisms of heart failure and arrhythmias. This will be an exciting conference that offers practical, up to the minute advice on management of heart failure and arrhythmia patients while offering a glimpse into what the future may hold. A special focus of this conference will be ways to improve quality in the delivery of care, both in the inpatient and outpatient arena.
This program will update the primary care provider and practicing cardiologist on the latest treatments for heart failure and atrial arrhythmias as well as new therapies being developed. A unique aspect of this course is that attendees will be able to see patients with expert clinicians to update cardiac physical examination skills as well as attend workshops on hypertension, lipid management, device optimization and quality care improvement. We hope that you will join us for this unique continuing medical education activity.
