China's Q1 vehicle sales continue to top U.S. market
China's vehicle production and sales hit record high of 4.55 million and 4.61 million units respectively for the first quarter of 2010, up 77% and 72%, as against about 3.08 mln units sold in the U.S. It is generally predicted that China's auto market growth this year will be around 25%, to totally over 17 mln vehicles. Car majors predict growing demand in China
Volkswagen in China will invest €4.4 billion ($5.9 billion) in plants and new models by 2012, while Nissan aims to boost capacity in the nation almost 70%. Toyota and Hyundai Motor Co are also building new factories in China. The automakers are competing for market share as Volkswagen estimates the growing wealth of China’s 1.37 billion people may raise the nation’s auto demand as much as 20% this year. Booming luxury vehicle market in China offers opportunities for accessorization

Auto parts industry in China has become the world’s top profit making industry
Report from AlixPartners showed that the profits of auto parts enterprises in China top the world’s counterparts in 2009. The profit level maintained over 8 – 10%, which is double of the world’s average. In 2009, the revenue of auto parts enterprises in China reached RMB 1,140 billion, an increase of 23% over 2008.
