An International Immunopharmacology Conference Regulatory Myeloid Cells
Oct 21,2010 - Oct 24,2010Arlington, Virginia, United States
-
Highlights
The goal of this conference is to bring together scientists and clinicians from the diverse fields in which myeloid cells have a critical role, to discuss their expansion, bio-distribution, trafficking, differentiation, regulation, and function. We expect that this conference will engender productive discussions, novel hypotheses and will foster new collaborations, all of which are critical to the development of this exciting new field.
Who should attend?
Those attending will be basic scientists and clinical investigators in both academia and industry, from the diverse immunology and cancer fields in which myeloid cells have a critical role. Participants will have an interest in the expansion, bio-distribution, trafficking, differentiation, and function of regulatory myeloid cells in cancer development and regulation and in novel immunotherapy in cancer therapeutics. Oncologists, pathologists and students specializing in cancer research and immunology are encouraged to attend.
Call for Papers
Abstracts are invited by June 7, 2010 for oral and poster presentation at the conference on the following topics:
Cytokines and Chemokines in Myelopoiesis
MDSC as therapeutic negative regulator of immune reactivity
Regulation of myeloid cell expansion and activation
Amino acid metabolism in regulation of T-cell suppression caused by myeloid cells
Mechanism of myeloid cell mediated suppression of T cells
MDSC role in tumor development and promotion
Selection of molecular targets to regulate myeloid cells in cancer
Manipulation of MDSC expansion and function in cancer patients
