Highlights
Rising concerns over climate change and the trend of plants upgrading in nuclear developed countries become substantial stimulation to worldwide nuclear renaissance. 20 April 2009, IAEA Director General Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei said at Beijing International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Energy in the 21st Century: Growth targets have been raised significantly in China, in India and in the Russian Federation. Asia remains the focus of growth in nuclear power. In the United States, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received combined license applications for 26 new reactors. InEurope, Italy plans to restart its nuclear power programme. Other Europeancountries also have expansion plans.
To satisfy the demand for further communication and co-operations, we organize China Nuclear Focus, looking forward to sharing the latest development and achievements of the industry and exploring the substantive nuclear sites. China Nuclear Focus will continue to bring together over 300 leaders and specialists from more than 30 countries, including the leading organizations and those that are supporting the China nuclear renaissance.
