Highlights
South Africa's new government faces three significant challenges
The first of the South African government's challenges is to steer the country out of recession. This at a time when growth drivers at home and globally are rare.
Secondly, it needs to build the foundations of future competitiveness, particularly by ensuring a reliable energy supply and the availability of skilled human resources.
And finally, the government needs to address the growing concerns of its electorate, providing jobs, housing and electricity, better schooling and healthcare. In short, a more equal distribution of the wealth of South Africa.
Economist Conferences' Seventh Business Roundtable with the Government of South Africa will bring together leading ministers with both international and South African corporate leaders and experts from The Economist Group.
Join us to discuss new policy approaches to these three challenges and examine how they will impact business.
