Tuberculosis: The forgotten plague
Mar 24,2010 - Mar 24,2010The Royal Society of Medicine, London, England
-
Highlights
Though tuberculosis kills nearly 2 million people a year, of whom half a million are dually infected with HIV and is one of the three infectious diseases which the Global Fund is raising funds to fight, it is very much the orphan when it comes to publicity, funding and awareness of its importance across the globe.
The morning session is intended to ask the question why this might be and to supply solutions.
