Highlights
It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2nd annual Stem Cells conference, taking place in February 2010.
Research involving stem cells for both therapeutic and non therapeutic purposes remains as exciting, yet as controversial as ever. The therapeutic advances and revenue generation possible through utilising these cells seem potentially endless and as such present themselves as a prime target for commercialisation and investment. In such a fast paced arena can you afford to be left behind whilst the competition reaps the rewards.
This conference will address the key scientific developments and provide the latest updates on therapeutic advances in stem cell applications, whist placing a real emphasis on the practical information you will need to successfully commercialise your stem cell research, through case studies and informative presentations from some of the leading figures in this area.
Key issues and themes will include the following:
- Learn how stem cells can be used to treat debilitating medical conditions such as retinal degeneration, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
- Discover the potential of iPS cells. Can they reliably be used as models of human disease and what are their benefits for drug development? .
- Develop your knowledge through practical case studies highlighting how to conduct effective clinical trials and achieve regulatory clearance to proceed with these trials. .
- Update yourself on the ethical and regulatory issues surrounding stem cells. How do you react to public interest and unsure that you are complying with all national and international regulation? .
- Compare your progress and procedures with those leading the way through case studies on establishing collaborations and strategic alliances and how to successfully commercialise your stem cell applications. .
SPEAKER UPDATE: We are proud to announce that Dr Thomas Okarma, CEO & President, Geron will present a keynote address at this conference.
